Judgement Detox

Myth

 



Prologue:

         The book “Judgement Detox” written by Gabrielle Bernstein tells us about the negative impacts of having judgemental views on others and tells us the ways to accept and love yourself and others without judging.  


Judgement Root:

As a child you only know how to love the world you don’t judge people and accept everything the way it is and are most content and happy with it. But, when you start to grow up you start to judge everyone because the world begins to judge you too which leads you to have insecurities in yourself and others. Your insecurities later transform into criticism and judgement towards others and yourself.

Accept Yourself:   

The best way to stop judging is to first accept yourself and others the way they are. Don’t always try to fit people into your fixed criteria. Remember everyone has the freedom to choose how they want to live their life. Accept yourself wholeheartedly, Humans are dual-natured creatures your dark side is also a part of you so, stop the criticism you show yourself. By forgiving yourself you start to forgive others and the world.

Emotional Freedom Technique:   

The EFT technique was first introduced in China. This technique involves using the meridian points of the body to relieve stress. Its steps involve:


  •      Choose the Most Pressing Issue which is the reason for your stress.
  •      Scale the reason from 0 to 10 based on your stress level.
  •      Press different meridian parts of your body or facial parts such as your chin and eyebrows and say out your problem loud.
  •      By pressing you are relieving the negative ideas you have in mind and letting them go away from you.
  •      Then start to have new positive thoughts in your mind.


Conclusion:   

To conclude, judging occurs when you start to see your insecurities in others. You begin to judge others who have judged you. In this way, you become part of a cycle of hatred that continues to flow. Therefore, accept yourself, break free from this cycle, and start to love yourself and others with an open heart.
